entertainment, James Burke's directorial debut Aurora
Borealis, starring Joshua Jackson, Donald Sutherland,
Juliette Lewis and Louise Fletcher, just picked up best
film nods at the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Fest.
He also served as executive producer on Thirteen
Conversations About One Thing, starring Matthew
McConaughey, John Turturro, Amy Irving and Alan Arkin,
which was released by Sony Pictures Classics in 2002.
Burke also served as Executive Producer on Levity
which was the opening night gala film at the Sundance
Film Festival in 2003 and stars Billy Bob Thorton, Morgan
Freeman, Holly Hunter and Kirsten Dunst. His short film
Borderline, written by John Bishop, won awards
at the Charleston World/Fest and the Houston Film Festival.
He has also directed for theater, and is a graduate
of the Directing Program at the American Film Institute.
